I've been giving my little flock warm oatmeal/raisons/vitamins/brown rice every day this past week it's been so cold. They love it.
As a warm thanks, I got my first eggs today!

My chickens loved a warm mash of cooked scratch grains and oatmeal. The ducks think it's disgusting and won't have anythignto do with it.

I've been putting some electrolyte mix or a bit of sugar in their morning water change thru this seemingly ever lasting cold and snow. The ducks especially seem to love the sweetened warm water.
