I had a dream last night .... and found a lump this morning.

LOL!! Woohoo!

I avoid this problem now (used to have that a lot), by using a scrubbie in the shower - it's good to get all that caked on anti-pers/deodorant off the skin every few days.

Praise the Lord! I am so very happy to hear your great report... big breath - sigh of relief emitted.

Sometimes these little bumps in life (or under our armpits...

) are just what we need to help us remember what's really important in life. Specifically, who is really important in our life!

There needs to be some rethinking about the psychology involved in the treatment and certainly the psychological dynamics invoved in diagnostic proceedures for the disease(s) commonly known as "cancer".

I have seen patients become so frightened after doctors or even nurses, bulldozed the patients -- that the patients actually died. No voodoo or witch doctor ever did a better job with a death chant.

I want all of you to clearly understand that a diagnosis of cancer is not a death sentence. You can live with cancer. In fact, you can live a long, normal life with cancer.

It is essential that you have a doctor who knows how to treat "cancer". Sadly, just because he/she is a doctor does NOT mean they know how to successfully treat cancer. You need an Oncology team.

Not all cancers are the same, and there is no one treatment that treats or cures all cancers any more than there is one antibiotic that will treat all infections. This should not be an overwhelming issue for your doctor. The Oncology meds comprise the absolute smallest part of the pharmacy.

At last we are seeing serious Oncology research and treatments today are absolutely wonderful. I'm old enough to remember when the treatments were so bad, the treatments themselves killed the patients. It was the patients who demanded that nonsence halt. And it did.

Hope is there. It is the cup from which all of us must drink. Miracles are happening every single day in Oncology. And it's about time.
