I had to fill out a form to buy chicks at TSC in NC

I would not give any personal info to buy any farm animals period. With all this Real I.D. talk and N.A.I.S. and talk of a per animal "Green Tax" I'll stick to local adds

I know here in Texas I've filled out a form at TSC, not to buy chicks, but everytime I go in they ask for my phone # and then at the end of the year I get a rundown of everything I've bought that was taxable and tax exempt.

Well I know for sure I will never buy TSC chicks again. Or I will get someone who lives in a downtown apartment to buy them for me and use their address. I really wish I had given a fake address.

Now that i have an incubator I can hatch all I want here at home and no one will ever know. The thought of NAIS is very scary. My husband is always on Gary Reeders gun board and the information he gets from there on the subject of government control terrifies me.

I bought chicks at a feed store last month, and there was no paperwork involved. TSC may want it to cover their rear ends, but I don't think there's any law involved!

We live in NC as well and bought chicks from the feed store in the past with no problems. We have never been asked for any additional info. Of course the people at the store know us....lol.....small town and all that.
I try not to buy anything from TSC if I can help it. They are always "out" of what we need.....

I only bought from TSC because I only wanted a few more chicks not the 25 I would have to get from a hatchery. Believe me I will not buy from there again. Unless I can't get it anywhere else.
