I had to have my cat put down today

She's been going down for quite a while. She's an older cat. At least 13. But I still wasn't ready.

I'm so very sorry. I've never had an animal that needed putting down, but now we have two wonderful cats, and I know one day I'll face the same thing. I'm so sorry.

I am so sorry! I lost Jo Jo around this time last year and it's awful. Make a cute Christmas stocking with the kitty's name and picture and put it on the tree with her favorite treats in it. I do that for every pet I've lost during the year and it makes it feel as if they are right there with you.

I'm sorry, I know how hard that is.

I have a cat who is 17, and she's doing better since we moved to the country (less stress) but she is still quite old, and I'm not sure how much longer she'll be with us. She developed some lumps a couple of years ago, but they aren't growing, they aren't cancer (just fatty growths) and they don't hurt her, so I just keep an eye on them.

Again, I'm very sorry that you and your cat had to go through that.
It always makes me feel guilty when I do it, even if it is the best thing for them.
