So I used to live in Alvarado Texas no limit on chickens or ducklings... My kids and grandaughter had chosen 2 ducklings and 6 chicksafter lots of love and heating lamps in my very own bathtub they grew big and strong enough to be outside in their cup... The very next day my daughter's husky pup beCame a serial killer killing 4 of the chicks... Was horrible I've never cried so much... I didn't knew I love those chicks that much...we had 2 ducklings and 2 hens survivors now we had to move to the city and I just got a note from the city that we can't keep the ducksMy kids have already loss 4... I don't know what to do and the worse part is that I think " my friend" who I've asked for help to help me build a bigger area for them called anything I can do to keep Elsa and Napoleon?

I don't know if there is much you can do but move back to the country or a different place where you can keep ducks.

So sorry you have to give the! Away after your children lost the others.

When my children were little I had to get rid of my daughter's duck. A friend that owned property out of town was kind enough to take him. He was definitely not going to be Sunday dinner.

The reason to give him away? He loved the kids, hated me. He would attack me (no one else) as I got out of my car when I returned home from work. Well he was always attacking me.

BTW. Are you anywhere in the path of flooding or tornadoes that come out of hurricanes? Most of my family is in Corpus Christi and the rest spread outward from there

Can you have ducks in the house? As nuts as it sounds, there are duck diapers you can purchase so that your ducks can live inside.
I hope you find a way to keep them!

Oh, Mamapolla, we are in New Orleans preparing for possible flooding, so my heart goes out to you. As if having to re home ducks that your children love isn't enough, now having to deal with Harvey as well! You and your family will remain in my prayers. Realize you may not get this post for a while as you must have lots to do. Just wanted you to know others care and are praying for the best for you.
