I had twins...NO false alarm..I am just stupid!

Ok people...I was just commenting on my hatch and realized that I must have had twins! My partner said he thought two hatched from one egg while I was at work and I just didn't take any notice. But I have 7 BCM chicks from 7 eggs and I threw one out because it didn't develop...IT has only taken me three days to realize when I was looking at my pics...how can that be? But look.. 7 BCM eggs and 8 ameraucana eggs...I threw away one BCM egg and 2 blue eggs...but I have 7 BCM chicks and 5 ameraucana chicks???

It's a miracle and I didn't even know it!

You started out with 15 total eggs. Threw 3 eggs away. Left with 12 eggs. And now have 12 chicks. Bet you have 6 BCM and 6 ameraucana.

I must be misundertsanding your math... If you started with 15, tossed 3 eggs total, are left with 12 eggs, and now have 12 chicks, how would you have twins? Shouldnt you have one more chick than you had eggs?

Been a long weekend with all the hatching and having one of my new chicks being special needs with a crooked neck!
