I've got a broody that has sat on a previous clutch and started pecking the babies as soon as they hatched so I took them away from her and gave her another clutch to sit on. She's the perfect broody..... gets off the nest a couple times a day to eat/poop and has maintained her health and weight after 42 days of sitting.
But now this second clutch is hatching and she's pecking at these babies now too.
So I took them all away from her and have 5 hatched with another 3 pipping in the incubator now.
I didn't want to use the incubator or brooder any more this year
