OK so last week, which was school vacation, I got sick!

I had a headache, cough, runny nose...and my headache ruined most of it! It lasted for almost half the week. I couldn't go outside and play with the chickens because of my headache, and I slept for most of the time.

So now, I'm feeling better, but guess what pops up? A stubborn cold sore on my lip! It looks awful!

It was all sore and swollen, then it got all hard, and now it's peeling and it's all raw and throbbing!

And it looks so ugly! Tried to cover it up with some lip gloss(I'm not a big fan of make-up...) but that made it worse.

Just thought I would have a small rant about this stupid cold sore and being sick.

Thanks for reading!

(P.S. I read that you can get a cold sore by either: kissing someone or getting sick....I obviously got it by getting sick! LOL)

A cold sore comes from a virus in your system and 99.9% of human get them. Usually brought on my a fever, and I bet you bit that area of the lip recently too. Go buy some Carmex - it work's wonders and costs $1......

We have something in common! I had been sick almost the whole month of January, started off with a stomach virus, then a nasty upper respiratory infection, then pink eye in the left eye, a couple of days later, the right eye, a cold sore on the right corner of my lip, and now, I've got a huge cold sore on my left lip all on the curve....can't even open my mouth to put a fork in it. I know how ya feel.

We have to just keep our heads up and keep on going.

For your cold sore, are you using Abreva? It is expensive, but very good stuff! You can use it up to 5 times a day. Make-up ain't gonna work.

I hear that those cold sore viruses are contagious also. I never had them until I turned 16 and I had never even been kissed either. My mother told me my grandmother had them all the time and she always kissed on us, hence giving us the virus. Who knows.

Be cheerful, there's light at the end of the tunnel. It's got to get better.
