I really hate it when the chicks pip in a vein You wait, and wait, and wait, only to see a little crack with blood. Then you get to worry even more than normal about it being ok

I only have 4 true araucana and 6 lav ee in the hatcher and it's one of the araucana. Now I am going to worry about the darn thing all night. Just when I got over obsessing over a normal pip and being able to wait patiently over 24 hours something changes

I have never had that happen to me yet....it would be quite scary. I would think something was srong

The one that did itself lived, but I had another chick do it to another chick, lost literal a teaspoon or more blood, chickie lived but then drowned in the water...kind of weak from blood loss and fell in must of aspirated it.

Well, the chick waited until this morning and made it's pip bigger, no more blood. Goes to show they know what they are doing
