Yeah, I know what you mean. Weather's kinda iffy today and I managed to mow the yard. Spent time watching a flock of wild turkeys sashay across the pasture. The poults are nearly grown! I've been watching them all summer and proud to see most of them survive.
  5. yeah I am with you guys, nascar is pointless, I don't see the fascination, I call men (and women too) who sit there and watch nascar all day "The cat who watches the dog chase its tail" - thats about the same thing lol. round and round and round you watch the cars go, occassionally you see a wreck or fire - thats about it for interesting and climaxes. [IMG]

Today is a very unusual lazy day today - its overcast and like 72 degrees - beautiful but all I want to do is sleep - lol. I did clean up a bit - wash dishes, sweep, mop, vaccum, and dusted a bit. I went out picking up pears out of the yard though, freshened up the coop, fed and watered everyone, sat out and watched the silkies for a bit and then went over to the neighbors and helped him out for a bit. But I consider that a lazy day - most days i'm outside all freakin' day long doing something but I guess since DD doesn't feel well I haven't done much either and just chilled with her most of the day.

Oh well a lazy day is a good day sometimes [IMG]

If you don't want to be lazy, go out and hang with your animals! Why be bored when there are critters to be entertained and accompanied by? [IMG]

i don't get the nascar thing either. it's really only fun when you can actually go to a race and look at all the people LOL. maybe some people watch it cuz they aren't smart enough to keep up with other sports HAHA that was a low blow i know but i think it's funny [IMG]

i just went outside to play with my ducks.. they were all passed out. even they are lazy today. even my drake who wakes up and goes nuts when i walk out (he's a mommy's boy he will get off my hen when i come outside. that's how much he loves me!!) was sleeping. they looked cute though. little foot my slow mallard was laying with her beak half out out from under her wing because her head was tilted and resting on fruitloops LOL

You'd think girls would be really into NASCAR.

They never use their blinkers either.

  8. Sunday is DH's only day off from work, and school... he catches up on homework, mows, etc. and we do any of the things we need to IE taking the boys out to Boyd... but once home from that we've just been goofing off. DH is reading (WoT series again and his classbook) I'm tinkering on here and reading King, kids are playing LegoLand together while waiting for a visit/pick up from Nana.

So, we're a mix of Stuff Done and Lazy Bones.... with it being 104 today that sounds just about perfect to me.

And Jet, you should ride with me... not only do I use mine (turns AND lane changes) but I also give pretty firey lectures to the ones on the road who don't. I swear when my kids drive (or ride with friends) later they'll hear me screeching in their heads.
