Yeah, my parents didnt help me. I didn't get my first car until two years ago when I turned 21. I'm almost done paying it off!
Maybe your parents would help since you're taking the initiative to work and make your own money?

my parents have pretty much told me they're paying for nothing besides a low uni fee

Seeing as uni courses I'm interested in cost over 110 grand, I think I'm going to be on my own

Yeah I got a loan on it. It's my first err line of credit and my interest rates are 19%! I payed the value of this car months ago, but will be paying all that interest until April. Sheesh.

I gotta say, it sucks that they won't help you, by I think it's a good thing

That's a pretty high rate, I have to say. I thought right now with the economic conditions, rates in the US were close to 0.

Or is this a different kind?

I'm utterly confused, I've never taken a loan before, never bought anything that expensive

I think it was because I had no credit, it was my first big purchase, and I'm a huge sucker.

I really don't know but it made my 8,000 dollar car into a 13,000 dollar car

worth it though because I love my car so much!
