Could this be caused by poor breeding or I breeding too much? I brought the eggs from a breeder and my chook hatched them you can see one of them in the background, note all the chicks are 6 weeks they Are also smaller. Will they be good layers if the are girls or will they not thrive. They do seem happy and are very well fed and earning all the time but e lack of development makes me wonder, that's so much to a one that comments, I am at a loss

What do you feed them first of all?

The others look healthy, but yes the one is very small for it's age. I had one chick that was a runt before, but she was never healthy and perished early.

Maybe try feeding the runty ones poly-vi-sol by enfamil, without the iron one. See if that helps them gain some weight.

I Have 2 Barred Rocks that are about a year old. One of them was very behind the other developmentally. The smaller one took longer getting feathers and still hasn't laid her first egg yet. The other one has been laying since October or so.
