I have 6 laying hens they are free rangeing have 2 useing the laying the layiong box

but can not find trhe other four where they are laying need help what to do
 
Either think like a chicken and look for places you'd like to lay an egg or follow them around today and see where they go.

Or lock them up in the coop for a few days until they all learn to use the nest boxes.
 
I use golf balls in my nest boxes. This is Spanish moss in the nest boxes but now I use pine shavings.

I have look every where I have two useing the nesting box they are free rangeing put one nest outside next to my house where they hang around put some fake eggs in it I got at the feed store will wait and see if this helps
If your girls have gotten into the habit of finding their own nest sites, you should "re-home" them to the coop.
Can you post pictures of your nest box setup?
 
I don’t know what your setup is, but if you confine them to a run with nesting boxes for a week or so, the hens will figure out where to lay. It’s also winter, so some of your hens might be taking a break. How old are they, and where are you located?
