I have a bone to pick with all you incubating ppl...

I totally understand that. It’s just so backwards. The pretty one can’t possibly be the on the LQ end of the scale. Let’s say the one that can actually start life without help… yeah that’s the crappy one. Reminds me of the cute little show goats. Look at one wrong and it dies! As a child, I saw goats as one of the toughest critters on the farm. So sad what they’ve been reduced to.
Same with French bulldogs

I set some for the Easter hatch a long-regret!

I didn’t sleep for the last 3 days.

Yep your not alone! I have hatch out over a hundred eggs so far this year. Some for myself and most for everyone one that found out I was hatching out eggs. Even had good luck with a couple dozen shipped eggs.
So Sunday my Mom brought over 43 eggs she wants me to hatch out. They consist of turkey eggs, duck eggs and a few chicken eggs. 🤷‍♀️ So here we go a again.

Will you stagger them to all hatch at the same time?

I got so little sleep when I was near hatching and when they were hatching.....sleep? What's sleep?
I didn’t sleep in over 48hrs when I did my first hatch. Plus I had been getting every 4-6 hours to check temps for the full 21 days since the temperature in the room my incubator was in wasn’t stable. I was actually delirious by the time I got to sleep.

Totally understand! Did 2 hatches back-to/back this year, and the only thing that stopped me from a third was there were 50 chicks in the 3 brooders and I couldn’t fit anymore! (My second hatch was due the same week as my online chick orders).

Last big hatch, I had 2/3 little roos. No exaggeration. I did a couple small hatches early in the year then a large one (large for me). I forget the exact number but 2/3 of nearly 60 babies that hatched were cockerels.
My biggest worry was what to do with the extra cockerels…found a guy down the road who processes for $2.50…so worst case is if they can’t get rehomed I drive them 10 miles. Yes, we could process ourselves, but the $2.50 is worth not having that hassle with both myself & DH working full time…and it gives me a green light to do as much hatching as I want to next year (straight outta DHs mouth. He didn’t know what he was saying when he said that…😂)
