I was given a chicken because I was the only one willing to give it a home. But she can't stand up and walk I have checked her over but see no wounds. One wing looks injured and she does crawl around and feeds. Will she heal by herself a vet visit is not a option what should be done.

Thank you for caring enough to give this chicken a home. If you think she is not getting enough to eat, try giving her some high protein food - such as scrambled eggs, or a bit of canned cat food. I've seen posts recommending pedialyte to drink. Can you give us more information on what the wing injury looks like, or post some pictures, so that we can see how bad the injury is? From what you describe, it sounds as if there are foot and/or leg problems going on, causing difficulty walking. What do her legs and feet look like? Again, pictures would help us understand what her problems are and how best to treat them. She may also have parasites - lice or mites that are causing her to be weak. Below is a link for more information on looking for parasites and how to treat them. She may also need to be wormed, but I am hoping you will post some pictures so we know what we are dealing with before we think about worming. I'm sure others with more experience than I will have other suggestions. Good luck with this chicken and please keep us posted.
