I have a broody, now what?

my suggestion would be to leave her where she is, but if possible, section the coop off so the other ducks can't get to her or the nest, or move the rest of the flock to another coop/run if you have an extra.

That is what I do. I have portable fence panels and just section off a spot around mom and her nest. While drakes can be mean to ducklings, so can the other hens. You just never know. I am not willing to take the chance with the ducklings.

seperating mine might be tricky, I don't have a ideal setup for that.
The coop is a hutch style, which then has the run which opens up right at the natural pond. Being I only have the 5 ducks, their coop isn't that big. so to fence off the others from them would restrict anyone getting out of the nest to the outside and vice versa.
the nest box is at the opposite end of the hutch door.
There are two nest boxes in the hutch.
I am worried if I move one of them to the other side of the nest box, that she'll abandon the eggs I've given her and go back in with the other hen.
They both seem very content and comfortable together, the nest box is quite roomy, it just looks so silly.

so you think 3 days difference is okay then, to start marking them from today??
