I have a broody RIR!

Im still learning all this, so why would that happen? She didnt sit on them enough?

I'm not sure what happened. She'd only get up to grab a bite to eat and a quick drink. I'm going to disect the eggs to see what happened, where they failed. It did get cold here, down into the 60's, plus it rained a lot the last week of her incubation. I'll post my results.

something went wrong. I had an awsome bantam once, she was the best brooder I have ever had. She laid some eggs during the winter and went brodi and hatched all but one I think it was about 6 that hatched, It was freezing she got up to eat, drink and poop and hopped right back on the eggs. To my amazement they hatched. I was so happy. That was my first hatch. a couple weeks later the whole family turned up missing. someone took them. (because they were too cute and tiny)

I'm just waiting to get my first broody of the year. My Buff Orp, Sunny, went broody about this time last year and I'm hoping she will this year, too. You'd think my Poufy-head Sisters would...they are half Cochin/Silkie cross!
