I have a total of 13 hens (I think)
(2) 8 week olds...one RIR and one Brown Leghorn..they are best buds ...have been in the big house about 4 weeks now....
(11) assorted 6 week olds that joined the 2 older ones about 2 weeks ago.....
well, the oldest RIR is the self appointed food monitor....she is aggressive towards all the 6 week olds chasing them away from the food bucket....she will let the 8 week old Leghorn eat...but...
The 6 week olds have to sneak behind her to get a nibble or 2 from the hanging food bucket before she comes a runnin and sqauking at them then they all scatter....
oh, same behavior with the water bucket as well
I'm afraid they aren't getting enough to eat and drink although their growth has not slowed down at all...any suggestions ?
