Along the same lines, I am allergic to eggs, but got the chickens anyway. I can still bake with them (although we're a long way from laying so its a moot point right now).
BUT we plant a super huge garden with our neighbor, could probably feed the whole neighborhood and most of it ends up going to waste. Found out last week that the neighbors wife won't even eat anything that comes out of the garden cuz it might have a bug on it. OMG I couldn't believe it. I'd much rather eat a bug any day than all the pesticides they normally put on them. Plus there really aren't that many bugs or anything, you just wash them off. And you can still find bugs on the store bought produce anyway.
