i have a couple of questions

1. i have two hens astralorps that hatch from the same mother will this make them very close because they will not leave eachothers side.

2. my barred rock rooster keeps attacking me when i go into the chicken coop or anywhere when i let them out of the cage is this just because he thinks i am going to hurt the hens and sees me as a preditore? and should i hit him and if i should how hard should i hit him?
