I got an incubator last week for a really good price (Hova 1602). I said I wasn't gonna do it, DH said I couldn't do it but we did [IMG] Now today I went and bought some eggs and an egg turner that holds 41 eggs. My dilema is....I have 48 eggs [IMG] what do I do???

    I have 18 BR
    18 NHR
7 Maran/Wyandotte (these are pure, just didn't know which were which)
11 Somethings, some say splash some say BB

I was so excited I didn't listen very good [IMG]

I'm a total newb and dependent on all you hatcholics to feed me your addiction to get me through the next 21 days.

My incubator (no eggs in yet) says 99.9 temp and 34% humidity, does this sound right??

What do I do about the extra eggs???
    Here are my eggs:

you could either put them in cartons and tilt side to side and then lay them on there side for hatching.

lay them all on there side and turn by hand 3x a day !!!!

When I hatch I save the extras in the garage in a cool spot, remembering to turn them at breakfast and dinner time, while the other eggs are in the incubator.

After four days I can tell which ones have nothing going on, and I replace the bad ones with the saved eggs- after dating them.

At the end when I turn off the turner I have to turn the others by hand a few days, but it is worth the effort.
