i have a heat lamp on for chickens...i have a question !!!!!

there up all night eating walking around crowing laying eggs is it bc of heat lamp? do they need a heat lamp?

I put the heat lamp on only when it's below zero (F), or if the chickens are looking uncomfortable. They have down coats on, so save some money on your electric bill and turn the thing off! Mine seem pretty happy.
