I have a house mouse

want to keep mice away? Get pet rats. We use to get mice in our house all the time as we live next to an open lot and across the road from railroad tracks. Last year my daughter got some pet rats and since then we have had no mice. Guess they can smell the rats and think its not safe for them.

Awwww I want a rat, but the only place I can find them is Petsmart and they are too expensive and all males. The full grown males look a little nasty and I don't want my 5 year old asking questions LOL!!!

You could get 2 girls if you can find them but I will tell you the boys are friendlier than the girls. My DD has 7. 2 regular boys 2 girls and 3 naked rats all boys. They are kept in seperate cages cause I dont want babies! And yes their male parts are VERY visable. Is your 5 year old boy or girl?

We had a mouse living in the woodpile on the back patio all winter. He would eat the wild bird seed I threw out. I let him be, because he wasn't harming anything. When spring came we uncovered the grill and found he had eaten the wires and pulled all the padding off the inside of the grill cover to make nests.

They are cute, but boy can they cause some damage!

Yeah--I had one get inside the clutch housing of my 4-wheeler and effectively ruin it. Ended up costing me over 9 grand--traded the 4-wheeler for the Kubota.
