My best friend brought me some A&M eggs 8 I think when she came to visit from FL well I stuck them in the bator at the rehab and hoped for the best it was the first eggs her hens layed and the bator there is very old well so far two hatched unfortunately one drown in the water tray I removed it we have super high humidity here right now anyway hoping for more they are cute!!

Now the silly question
I can keep and breed them with my other coturnix right. Sorry

Oops, I missed the 'silly question' part

A&M are just another type of coturnix, so yes you can keep them and breed them together. You will most likely loose all the A&M traits until the third generation though, since it is recessive. What I mean is, the chicks from the jumbo (I assume that's what you have?) to the A&M (generation 1) breeding should all look like jumbos, but carry a gene for A&M. So when you would breed them together (generation 2), their babies (generation 3) should be about 50/50 A&M and brown.

I'm waiting on mine, I have 38 eggs due between tomorrow and Saturday. Some are from macnugget, and some are from mine. Mine are A&M, his are jumbo browns. All of them look like they should hatch, so I hope they do!!

Congrats on the babies!!

Hi,

Top stop chicks drowning in the water pots in your incubator, place a block of face sponge in the water pots, this will also hold more water and give a better humidity level.
