I have a magical chicken! :D *Pic Heavy*

So, a few weeks ago, I posted about my "color-changing" chicken but I never posted pictures. That's what this post is about! Anyways, my 3yr old Easter Egger hen Quail is turning white and black. She has been khaki/tan for the past 3 years and now all of the sudden... she's changing. No, it didn't happen overnight. For the past couple weeks, I've noticed, every day she grows in more and more white and black feathers. I'm guessing there must be some Speckled Sussex in her genes..

Interesting.
Makes me think of Calico Reticulated Pythons. They start off fairly normal and get more white as they age (much like I am. Hmmm, maybe I'm a calico not old after all. Nah, I think I'm just old. *sigh*)

She is a pretty girl.

We have a Brown Leghorn rooster that turned grey and white for about a year. He's now back to his regular color though. It was weird.

Maybe she got scared and it turned her feathers white? Lol. Pretty bird, before and after.
