I have never seen a chickens in those colours before!Any guesses on breed mixture?
I mean I don’t have any other poultry on my farm. Just have two main roosters. I’ll take pictures of them tomorrow as well.I am not sure what is going on here, but that is not normal coloring for a chicken. It almost looks like a chicken hybridized with some other species of fowl like a pheasant. Or maybe it is some type of chimera?
In any case it has a beard, so one parent probably does, too.
I wasn't accusing, just stating what she kind of looks like to me. The coloring is probably some type of genetic anomaly. Very cool looking!I mean I don’t have any other poultry on my farm. Just have two main roosters. I’ll take pictures of them tomorrow as well.
Oh no I know your weren’t accusing just stating so everyone knows we have no other poultry besides our mixed flock. Not to say something wild? Couldn’t have gotten to a hen but they have their own area and when I hatched the eggs the egg definitely appeared normal size and coloring of the hatching egg lolI wasn't accusing, just stating what she kind of looks like to me. Holy cow! Wow, she is AWESOME! Agree about breed. What in the world? That might be the most unique pattern I've seen in a chicken.I wonder if she has vitiligo. She appears to be part Easter Egger. @Overo Mare look!!
