I had an Ameraucana/Leghorn cross that laid the brightest blue eggs and Blue Ameraucanas that laid pale blue eggs. I wouldn't rule out a white layer just because of the shade of blue of the egg. She only needs to carry one blue egg gene to lay blue eggs. The shade is dependent on a lot of other different factors.

I agree. Our Blue Egger/Leghorn cross lays bright blue eggs, very similar looking to Eagles. I think Leghorn mother Blue Egger father is a good possibility as you mentioned earlier @SuperiorFarmsGirl 🙂
