i have a naked neck a little over 3 weeks old, roo or pullet

Im new to this, but from what I have found out by research and others telling me information on sexing, I would say that it is a pullet because the comb has no red or pink color. I know different breeds may take longer to show but I have 8 RIR chicks and the roos started showing pinkish/red waddles and combs at 4 weeks.

Im pretty new to this as well. Its nice to know im not the only one. And yeah thats what im thinking too but im afraid it is a roo because i just dont want to have to get rid of him.

I would say that it is to early to tell. Most breeds start to show around 4+ weeks.

ok cool. i also have an unknown breed but it is white and same age, but is showing signs of roo

I agree, give it another couple of weeks, I would hate for you to give up your chicken because you were not sure of the sex.

See those reddish brown feathers at the top of the wings? Pretty sure that is the sign of a rooster. So sorry . . .

I sure hope the light is shining on him wrong.....
