I have a phobia, anyone else?

I have a fear of small spaces.
It came from being locked in a cooler when I was younger.
Once while white water rafting they stopped at this neat place where we had to climb down in a hole, go under the water, swim through an underwater hole, and come out behind a waterfall..
Im a pretty good swimmer so when I heard I had to do it with my life jacket on I couldnt understand. Well I go anyways and my life jacket catches on something. So there I am caught in a tunnel full of water.. FREAK OUT x 20!
Somehow I got turned around and came back out. They tried to tell me I had to go back through WITH MY LIFE JACKET.. No, I made them lift me out of the hole.

Once I had someone stick a (taller) box over me then hold it down. I freaked out and threw a 200lb guy off of me. This was when I was a few years younger and was still weighing in the 90s.
Dont like it at all

I have a fairly new fear of tap water. I have gone days without drinking because I am scared of it.
Dont know whats wrong with me, I just fear Ill drink something weird or get sick.
I wont even drink plain water from restaurants because I feel like they are trying to trick me into drinking tap water

Most phobias are dereived from a childhood trama

one of my phobias- drowning because i almost drowned when i was two. whats ironic now is that i love to swim and i love water...i tried taking scuba once, bad idea...had a massive panic attack...will NEVER try that again!!!

2nd phobia- i am scared to death of bees because when i was 4, i was walking around our yard in bare feet and steped on a mud wasp hive (15 stings- they started swarming but i ran like hell!!!).

Embarrassed to admit this but my fear is still this bad:
Years later (21 years old), my boyfriend takes me to a nature park. You walk along a wooden decks about 15 ft up around a tree to get in the visitor center. At the visitor center they have an active beehive flying in and out across the ramp and next to the door. I walked through it unaware and then noticed when one landed on my shoulder (non hostile- just checking me out). I froze with fear and had cornered myself on the deck (sort of like a lookout point on the deck)...both ways i would have had to go back through where the hive was flying which was NOT going to happen (despite my boyfriend coaxing me). There was only one solution- JUMP off the deck...and thats just what i did!!!!

Another 2 years later, i have tried working on my fears and can now convince myself to be around honey bees... as long as they respect my space. They are ok by me...wasp, yellow jackets, and hornets...not so much!

Why don't you get a water filter? I wouldn't touch the tap water in our town after finding worms in it once. We have two filters which takes care of our drinking water as well as water for cooking and preparing food. Much better!
