Egg #2 has hatched and I think a third has pipped, but maybe one of the chicks pecked at it. I dunno...

Well, I came home from work this evening and my daughter informed me that three chicks had hatched and there was one more pecking at the egg. We went to the basement to look at them and while we were there, the fourth chicklet hatched. I had originally set 6 eggs, but threw two out on day 13 because they were clear. SO, since 4 out of 4 (fertilized) eggs hatched, is that a 100% hatch?!?

YES! I only count the ones that begin to develope.

Thanks, everyone! I'll post some more pics soon. When I got home today, I found that my broody hen has hatched 4 so far and there are 4 more eggs under her. Good luck Lauren - let us know how your hatch goes!!

I'm jealous.. I have three that are in my bator right now..day 19.. I am going crazy.. I've convinced myself that they won't make it. I hope I'm wrong!! First hatch for me.. I had 14 eggs in there, but apparently 11 were clear..GRRR...

Anyway, CONGRATS!
