Here's my question. Have u ever had that one chicken your crazy about? But it got caught or died? Well i'm gonna share a story about how these two special hens i love to dealth. Oh and please share your story and put a pic of your chicken. Well, one day i came to sit down. And Started on the computer i was scrolling and clicking. Out of no where i heard a sound" A FOX GOT A CHICKEN"! I was worried it was Little Red.My 1 year old Production Red. I shot out of the door worried it was her. I looked everywhere i did not see her i was so scared. I looked where my dog Taz was. He was chasing her around because she did get caught but got away. He sniffs her because she had the smell of the Sneaky Fox i call him. I was really lucky that time.I smiled.I looked at her for any sores.She had one with teeth holes in her side. I saw pulled feathers. Even though she was more then likely in pain. I was still happy that she got loose.

I had a hen name BIG RED. She was part of a free ranging flock who lived on the property we moved to. Red was rejected by her flock when she had an injury. We nursed her back to health and added her to a new flock we got for the coop. She would come running when I called her name. I'm not sure how old she was, but she lived for over five years. She died of suddenly of natural causes a couple years ago.
