I have a Question

When we moved a while ago we had 5 hens we gave to my Mom because we didn't have room for them.She called me last night and asked if I wanted them back because she has more than she needs.I got them tonight and they have alot of feathers missing on their backs and some have no tail feathers.Is this regular moulting or could it be signs of parasites.

This could be moulting... Have you checked for mites/lice? What area of the world do you live in? Check them for lice/mites, and if you don't see any signs of them, them chalk it up to moulting. Being in Ont, Can, mine moulted last month -strange but true. I added electrolytes to their water and turned off their light to help them regain their feathers faster. they are fine now.
