My Silkie’s feathers are not the same!

I have had my Silkie for a year now and when we first got her she had a head full of feathers like a pompom and she was also alot fluffier. Now one year later her head feathers won’t grow back since i cut them many many months ago and they also shrank significantly. Even her body feathers are not as full and fluffy. She also seems to be currently molting, i'm not sure if thats the reason why shes changed? Do you think she has any deficiencies or needs any supplements to get her back to the way she used to be? It could just be that shes getting older I also think she's about 1 1/2 years old.

If she's 1 1/2 she may not have done a full adult molt yet. Likely that will happen sometime this year, usually late summer or fall, but sometimes dead of winter. I would wait for that, and see how she looks after. Feathers can get very worn and ragged and faded before they molt and get new ones. And sometimes birds may only do a partial molt, it happens.

ohh okay she started to change in autumn and its winter now so i'm assuming shes just molting very slowly. i’ll see how she goes as long as shes healthy. She also has a massive bold patch on her belly with a bunch of pin feathers. Would you recommend any supplements i could give her to support her feathers more?

Feathers take a lot of protein to make, so a higher protein feed can help. They make a feather fixer feed, or if you are feeding layer feed, which is usually 16% protein, you can switch to an all flock or grower feed in the 18-20 % protein range. High protein treats, like scrambled eggs occasionally can help.
