I have a rooster in the mix and don't know who it is. Help please!

My backyard flock is now almost 20 weeks old. Over the past couple days I have gone outside and heard crowing. Once I get to the coop it stops and I can't identify the culprit. Roosters aren't allowed in my town and houses are close together so I need to deal with this ASAP before my neighbors complain. I bought sexed chicks online so they should all be females but you never know.

Here's my flock (it was hard to get pictures of them):

And then this is my current main suspect: Buff Silkie (which I know are very hard to sex):

I believe its the buff silkie, but silkies aren't my forte. None of the non-silkied birds are male. They're all pullets.

Don't have a definitive answer, but I want to complement you on the photographs. They are very helpful. I'd say it is one of the Silkies, which I can't help on. The others all appear to be clearly female.

Agree with @Frazzemrat1 . The buff Silkie is a cockerel. The Silkied EE looks to be a pullet.

I would say it's the buff silkie based on the wattles and neck feathering (hackle feathers). The hackle feathers are very elongated on him and the others do not have that.

LOL, was scrolling through and seeing only females, then the male in all his glory. Yes, Buff is a male - thats a lot of comb and color for 20 weeks!

Good Luck with re-homing. We've had to do this before, and googled "Livestock auction near me" and actually found a few choices. There is one in our general area that holds an auction every month. Others on BYC go to swaps. Another idea is to post at the feed store.

It seems like the everyone agrees the buff silkie is a boy. That kills me since he's my favorite. I really appreciate everyone's input!

Sorry but I agree with everyone else, I believe the buff Silkie is a cockerel.

The buff silkie is your culprit. I believe I can see some small streamers in the last picture.
