is most of the commercial chicken we eat not Cornish X? That way they don't have to feed them long before they can process and sell the meat?
Most of the CX are sold in the store as raw chicken (parts or whole) or goes to restaurants. The "processed" stuff like burritos, soup, chili, etc. is more than likely old layer hens. I have seen McDonald's "chicken nuggets" made from fresh, ground CX meat. Now that looks like a huge vat of upchuck! lol They don't just dispose of the older animals, we eat those too.
