Hello.. we have a sick chicken and not quite sure what to do… I think she has sour crop. She is very lethargic and was laying in the bowl of water in the coop. My daughter picked her up and a lot greenish brown stuff came out of her mouth. We took her and rubbed her crop and got a lot out. I have had her in my house for three days with just water and I put a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and her water. From what I read online that helps. She wasn't throwing up anymore so we put her back out in the coop today. My daughter went and checked on her and she was back in the water bowl. When she picked her up just a few drops of the stuff came out of her mouth. I am not sure if this is definitely what she has. Has anyone ever had this problem and could maybe guide me on what I can do. She is A two-year-old white leghorn. Thanks for all your help!

How old is she? When you feel her crop now, how does it feel--empty, partly full, soft, doughy, or puffy like a balloon? Do the contents that she has vomited smell bad or sour? She could be weak from dehydration or coccidiosis because of finding her lethargic and lying in the water bowl, and one can drown easily when that happens. What do her droppings look like? Is it hot there? She needs some electrolytes in her, so you can use the chick lytes, or put some Gatorade or Pedialyte in her bowl. The crop normally should be empty in early morning, after not eating or drinking. Plain yogurt and some raw egg would be good to offer her. Look up Two Crows good advice on Impacted and Sour crop Treatment.
