That makes me feel good about it. I sure dont like the idea of him oversexing them! So... I can get up to six.. I think why the heck not go for 4 and let him breed some little fluffy silkies

I love this chicken world I have tapped into. Tomorrow weather he agrees or not I am getting my new henhouse for the little ones. Even if I have to pull a man move and keep it over at a friends for a week or so before I bring it home. muuahaaa... its cheaper than a harley right!

I'm going by the weights prescribed in the standard, not any particular line. The Angie bird I had was pretty much an average silkie size.

If you've ever held a TRUE George bird, directly out of his coops, you know what I mean. He's just got bull dogs for Silkies. They are HUGE! Gorgeous though!

Some of George's birds are on the large size weight-wise. Most appear larger (volume) than they are due their excessively long feathers. I have had many George birds, some seem large, but not all. I have one who is on the small size.

This is a George M bred blue rooster that I have: For a size reference, that modena pigeon next to him is 9" and those are 2 average silkie hens behind him. I have shown him before and he barely fits in the bantam coops.

The blacks from Premier Silkies are the only ones that I have seen that are better. I got a 4 1/2 month old cockerel from Connie last October and it was bigger and had better feathering than this blue.
