So let me see if I am grasping all of this. Sometimes a female birds ovaries stop working decreasing estrogen and therefore causing the bird to present male like characteristics. . .just likes humans can go through "the change"
In that case it doesn't necessarily mean the bird has changed genders just a hormone shift.
However there are documented cases of hermaphrodite birds? I wonder if both sets of parts were functioning parts though.
