I have a strange question

I'm sure it was a duck egg it was 2 times the size of our eggs in the fridge.
What was the shell like....both in color and feel when cracked? The odd whopper of a chicken egg is not an uncommon occurrence and would be a more likely explanation to the situation

Further.. there is a lot of mis-information about eggs. We are talking about domestic ducks and laying off season. Your duck could DEFINITELY lay a very thin egg in the off season or if this is their first time laying. They could also lay a thin egg if deficient in calcium. They could also lay one single egg and thats it. Egg size or shell thickness is not a big concern.

Not that I need to mention, but I was with Dave Holderread last summer and viewed a duck undergoing a sex change.
