I have a suggestion.....

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I have a suggestion for the BYC website. I think there should be a videos section in the Learning Center or something. Sometimes I search the web, or go to youtube usually, but i think it would be better and easier if we had videos on raising chickens here. Im constantly searching for videos about this and that......but I think BYC would be the complete package if there was a videos section. Good, nice, short, well made videos about certain chicken topics would help a lot of us members. Maybe there should be a contest for videos on raising chickens and the like, and those videos be added to a videos section? It's just a thought...I really think it's a good idea and should be looked in to. I hope you consider it.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestion! We'd love to add videos to our Learning Center. Instead of a "videos section" we think it might be good to add videos to specific topics and existing articles.

I know I personally really like and learn well from videos!

It would be so nice. I personally am timid when it comes to youtube because you never know what you will run into on there *shudder*.

I tend to just click on links people send me or link to, rather than search it much.

BYC is just so family-friendly and NICE!!!!

Nifty, you should have another video contest and use the winning/top 10 submissions for the Learning Centre. Like you do with the article writing contest. If you do that every 2-3 months or so you'll have a couple of great videos by the end of the (next) year. Then you make suggestions for the topics, like with the article writing contest. Say you'd like videos on, for example incubation and assisted hatch, introducing new chickens to the flock... oh, there's lots of things we can make videos off!
