I have a very stong dislike for the USPS! Grrrrrrrrrr!!! Update :(

I am writeing this with a heavy heart, and deep concern. Recently I ordered 100 baby chicks from MM as I have done over the last 20 plus years. Never have I been so dissapointed in the PO services like this time. The chicks were to arrive on ( insert date) but to my horror were not delivered. I called several people trying to find where this large box of live defencless baby chicks were, and was given the run around. My concern is how can anyone not notice a box of innocent animals, and care for thier well being? Sadly my package arrived on ( date) and to my horror, 95 dead babies in the box out of 100. I tried to save the 5 little survivors, but sadly they were just too far gone. They suffered a horrible death, and it was sensless! To some they may be " just chickens" But, they are living, breathing, babies...deserving better care than what they were given. In any other case if this were to happed on private property it would be called Animal Cruelty. However an intity as large as yourself is allowed to let this wanton disregard for life happen more times than I care to think about.

I think it would be hard for any of us to write a letter without to much emotion. We all care to much!
Sorry for your loss. I know it stinks but dont throw out the baby with the dishwater. Bird shipping options are extremely limited.

My PO is just a few blocks away. My guy calls me from the dock. Its amazing what $10.00 will do for the eyesite of a postal employee. I have shippied both ways and only had trouble once. They were a day late but still kik`n. The best days to ship are Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Past that theres a chance you`ll get hung on the weekend.

If your having to slip them a $10 then your postal employee is corrupt! It is part of their job to call you for the package when it arrives.

I agree...no way would I want to subsidize an organization that is so unconcerned about the condition of live animals -that they are responsible for!!

These are precious little babies to us and dollar bills for them. There are places to purchase from that do care and, if I order, they will get my business.

Oh MissPrissy! Oh I cannot imagine! I am so sorry for the loss, and so angry for you that the PO was so horrible!

I cannot believe they were so incredibly rude and uncaring! OH OH it makes ME want to call MM myself and tell them to hire chicken loving freaks ONLY!

I don't want this to turn into a MM flaming thread. That is not my intentions. I think at this point it best to close this thread before that happens.
The United States Postal Service is at fault for the death of these chicks. They refuse to be accountable for any and all damages to anything shipped via their services. We all know this. Even when packages are lost or damaged they refuse to even reimburse the shipping costs.
The USPS needs to be accountable for the damage they do. Period.
