I have an Egg Color Problem

So all my hens have been laying brown eggs since they started they are about
1 1/2 to 2 years old and I've noticed this past month all my hens are laying almost white eggs anyone know why at first i thought it was only 1 hen doing that but it's all of my hens their eggs are almos a white color now and they use to lay beautiful brown eggs.

Did this color change begin soon after that Texas deep freeze by any chance? Stress plays a huge role in egg weirdities.

If this persists, it could be a dietary deficiency or disease. One such disease is a corona virus (sound familiar?) called Infectious bronchitis. It can cause respiratory symptoms, but it works its mischief mainly in the organs, and the oviduct is one of them. It causes eggs of brown layers to go pale or white and sometimes the shells are wrinkled.

Their feed is Layer pellets mixed with whole corn and hen scratch and i throw some oyster shells in the run after the freeze they where doing good still but i don't know what happened and they are all healthy drinking and eating

Interesting. I have a barnyard mix bird that lays a blue egg that is getting lighter and lighter in color also, to the point where sometimes I think it is my lone white egg until I put those two side by side. None of my others are changing colors though and for mine I figured it was just a change since she is a newer layer...

If the chickens have been laying for a long time their shells will naturally get lighter and lighter in color until their next molt resets the pigment production.

How old in months?

The coating pigment naturally gets lighter as the laying cycle progresses.
It should be darker again once they molt and take a break from laying.
