I have an egg eater

I was thinking that. The laying flock free range pretty much every day. I was going to get the grit as a last resort. Thanks for your advise, I will save that money.

I thought about maybe they were resting, but for all 6 hens to stop at the same time? I guess it is possible. Weather is changing and there is less light. I did set the timer again to start waking them up earlier so they are getting 14 hours of wake time.

I am happy to say that I got 2 eggs today. I think after reviewing the last 2 weeks events. I think the issue may in fact have been their feed. The last time I purchased laying pellets, I noted that the bag is totally different. Suppose to be the same brand, but different packaging. The ingredients look to be the same, but I just wonder. Or maybe it was the light, as of last weekend, they are getting 15 hours of light a day, thanks to Mr. Edison.

The one egg was out there as of 1:00 pm. I left it there. At 4:00 it was still there along with another. So maybe, I don't have an egg eater. I hope not. I still have a golf ball in each nest and will leave them there for now.

The peppered egg was gone yesterday, but I could not find anyone that had a red breast. I think I'll try blue food coloring. Maybe that will identify her.
