I Have An Egg!!!!!!!!!

OK, So you may think that I am mad, but in my defense I am new to keeping chickens.

I have my first ever egg, laid today by Esmarelda at 8am this morning. and I am soooooooo proud and please, that I want to tell someone and I think that only people on this forum will truly understand just how pleased I am.

Soooo.........WHOOP WHOOP!!! YEY! I HAVE AN EGG.................

congrats to you and your hen. I remember when my late Chloe laid the first egg of any of our chickens, i was so happy! i didnt know about BYC yet so i couldnt come tell you guys, but i'll try to post my first duck egg!

Well we poached the egg, and I have to say that it was delicious. It was lightly poached and nestled on a slice of my seeded bread (toasted). I have to say that though the egg was small it was so full of flavour.

Leigh my partner wanted me to eat it by myself but I just had to share it.

I have tried to download pic of lovely egg, but I don't seem to be able to do it....... sorry.
