Hey, you might check in with Miss_Jayne - she recently began an entrepreneurial endeavor such as this, and knowing her, she's doing quite well! She's also a really nice person to chat with! BEST of luck!

I have had 20 years of poultry raising experience. My start in poultry came from my parents having 25 laying hens. When my older brother started 4-H we started getting different kinds. When I was in high school we started Danke Bros Poultry a small rare breed poultry hatchery. The Danke Bros Poultry chapter in our lives have ended and I am now onto Purely Poultry.

I am constantly working out the details of Purely Poultry so that once I graduate I will be set up to start Danke Farms.

I am willing to help or to talk if you need any help.

Miss_Jayne is actually a customer of mine.

The Purely Poultry Goals page speaks about how I have a passion for entrepreneurship for my self and for others. I look forward to helping others start and grow their poultry endeavors. I actually want to work with several different breeders that offer breeds that I am not currently carrying. So if you find something special I would be interested in working with you.

Oh? Wasn't aware that he started off hatching.

I hatched 22 different breeds of birds while I was in high school. I helped people with a lot of baby chicks and hatching eggs and laying hens. I think you could do the same.

I've been hatching and selling chicks, and ducks, and a few quail (and if I get any to hatch I'll sell a few goslings, too) this spring and have paid for a fair amount of feed this way. I'm strictly small scale, but if you check to see what's selling, I don't see any reason why you can't hatch and sell on a small scale.
