I have baby goats!!!

someone told my husband that the bucks left intact and with horns bring more money than the weathered ones, because certian religious persons, like muslums....etc... perfer them that way? I am not sure about the difference, but If it were up to me I would weather them all and dehorn them and keep them all!! But hubby says I can't keep the bucks...

He sure likes little spunky though, he will make someone a good buck for breeding stock! He is super friendly too!!

The meat processer near us got a chevron for someone and ground the meat. The person did'nt pick it up so he called us. There was a lot of ground goat for the Dobes - I feed them natural, mostly raw. I tasted the chevron, it wasn't gamey and didn't have any smell when I was cooking it. The processor said the goat was grass fed but he didn't know how old it was. BTW Miss Prissy, your yogurt recipe is great, I've made yogurt before but never added dried milk, it was a lot creamier. Sorry for the off topic remark.

I find goats are what you make of them. Mean goats are left in a feild and not given direction and intereaction - usually old scrub goats with rutting biillies that need to be tended to - not good. Freindly goats have been played with, treated, cared for. I consider my does working pets. These bucks will have to work for their place here too by throwing me some nice kids.

That little white one with the black around it's eyes looks like a little calf! Too cute!
My favorites are the Lamanchas. What they are missing in the ear department they make up for in sweetness! Plus, you don't have to worry about frostbite to the ears.
