This thread has given me a great idea. My hubby's been wanting more turkeys. Don't think he's poultry smart enough to tell poults from turken chicks. Need to find someone near me with turken eggs/chicks and give him some more "poults". Bantam ones, I'll just have to tell him they are mini turkeys. Payback for the roo he brought home a few weeks ago.
I need to stop reading this, he keeps giving me weird looks when I laugh wondering what could be so funny reading about chickens.

You do realize you will have to look at those turkens every day once they are grown.

I plan on putting them in the front yard when I don't feel like having company. I figure they should do very well at discouraging unwelcome visitors.

Although I will have to hide them when people come to buy eggs, or they will probably think I have diseased chickens.
