I Have Chickens!!! Chapter 2 in the PC Flock!!!

By the way PC, if you decided on a sudden mad impulse to go on a trip towards the North Pole and happen to pass along the way in the region of Montreal, I would be glad to contribute this nice little fellow to your flock:

He is Pache, our nineteen week old Welsummer rooster. He is crowing a little too much considering our suburban environment, so we are now considering to find him a new home, but we want to be sure that he will be happy and under good care.

But you would have to convince him not to crow at the border crossing on the way back!

Thanks everyone. It's nice to have some girls out in the barn again. I just went out to turn off the lights and put them to sleep. They are much calmer now that they are settling in. It's funny, my last birds were all raised in brooders with low tops so when they went into the sectioned areas in the barn they stayed there. These birds know how to fly and roost up in the rafters of my barn. Lord knows where I'm going to find eggs.

That's a mighty kind offer, especially for the famous Pache. I'd love a roo but my neighbors just wouldn't understand.
