So exciting! Congratulations! I think you will find keeping chickens very rewarding. Do they let you handle them? One way to warm them up is to let them eat from your hand. I think you will find your girls like a little more space to run around in, but this is a great start! Enjoy them!

I just love reading posts from first time chicken folks...there is such excitement in the air! Chickens are indeed wonderful and smart little creatures. Your coop is so cute and the 3 hens look as if they like their new home. Can't you read their minds: our chicken parents are already part of the flock, they just need a little more training. Time to start looking for larger housing, as spring brings out all the new chicks. You will see them everywhere! Simply cannot resist.
