So as I said we are very new to this. Does that mean when they get a bit older all the boys have to Go?
You know in my city we are not allowed to have roosters so I collared them with some velcro and it works perfectly. It's been 6 months and a little adjusting here and there but all in all if/when they crow the noise is so quiet and the hens are way louder than they are.

If you want to keep multiple roosters, and they seem to be fighting (or the hens are being over-bullied) you could keep them in several separate coops or runs.

If you free range, just let them out in shifts.

Luckily we are in the country so no worrying about the noise unless it drives me crazy lol. I'm more trying to figure out how many hens we have so that we can figure out egg production. My son sells the eggs as a school project so definitely need more girls than boys either way lol. But that's a pretty good idea!
